[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hi, I’m Lauren Taylor from Holder Mattress… you’ve probably heard me say that on the radio, so maybe you already know who I am; but if you don’t, allow me to introduce myself. I’m the third generation owner of Holder Mattress. My grandfather started this company in July of 1947 and I’ve been involved in nearly every aspect of it since birth. I remember being five or six years old, threading bobbins for the quilter and getting a nickel per bobbin from Grandpa. I’m not sure if I was actually helping, or if they were simply finding a way to keep me busy. We learned pretty early on, before I was a teenager, that I should probably stay out of the factory, I may have seamstress genes, but I don’t have seamstress talent! Fortunately I could talk my way through anything, so they put me on the phones. I sold my first bed before the age of 13, and since then, I’ve learned a lot, probably more than anyone wants to know, about mattresses.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]Technology hasn’t changed much when it comes to mattresses, but it has changed a lot when it comes to communication. Thus, the MattressGrl Blog is born! I talk to people everyday about their bedding needs and there is so much misinformation out there. Creating this blog allows me to communicate with all of you about the happenings with mattresses, from an industry perspective. Ever wonder why most mattresses cannot be flipped? What’s the purpose of a box spring, and does it need to be replaced? What are dust mites, and what do I need to know? Should I freak out about Bedbugs??? Relax, I’ll address it all, and many other issues in my blog. Check in regularly and feel free to submit questions to me. Let’s begin a different kind of bedroom conversation…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
